- 2012: Ascension Health and subsidiaries form Ascension
- 2012: Alexian Brothers Health System joins Ascension
- 2012: Ascension partners with Narayana Health, Bangalore, India, and the government of the Cayman Islands to build Health City Cayman Islands, a 140-bed hospital bringing needed healthcare services to people throughout the Caribbean region
- 2013: Health ministries of the former Marian Health System - Ministry Health Care, Wisconsin; St. John Health System, Oklahoma; and Via Christi Health, Kansas - join Ascension
- 2014: Formed Ascension Senior Living, one of the largest nonprofit senior living providers in the U.S.

Placement into the program
Question: Where did your internship experience occur?
Answer: The departments that we went to in the hospital were the lab department, radiology department, respiratory department, and the Orthopedic floor.
Question: Who did you report to at your placement? What was their job title?
Answer: It depends on the department your in. Sometimes, there would be the manager of the department who you get all the signatures from, other times you would just get them from who you worked with that day. Usually, their job titles are along the lines of patient care manager all the way up to registered nurse.
Question: Who did you also work with at your placement?
Answer: Usually, I would get assigned to someone for the day and that person specialized in an area. So I got to work with radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, microbiologists, registered nurses, and physical therapists.
